IPC2U Group announces the new (ULV) Intel® Celeron® M 600 MHz CPU based solutions from Nexcom to fit limited budget and most embedded computing applications


NEXCOM International Inc. is introducing a full spectrum of embedded product line that is integrated with ultra low voltage (ULV) Intel® Celeron® M 600MHz processor with 512KB L2 cache. The product line includes 3.5" & 5.25" form factor, ETX CPU Module (Embedded Technology eXtended), EBC (Embedded Board Computer) and SBC (Single Board Computer), which are all able to fit into most customized projects' requirements and limited budgets.

Fits most embedded computing applications


The (ULV) Intel® Celeron® M 600 MHz processor is a great mobile processor that utilizes very low power and provides exceptional performance. It only consumes 7 watts of power and generates very low heat. Therefore, it is an ideal solution for thermally sensitive embedded devices, storage appliances, factory automation, business communication applications and value-oriented embedded devices such as fan-less system, point-of-sale, kiosks, and ATMs.

Intel® intends to gain back its embedded market shares by offering strategic pricing of the (ULV) Intel® Celeron® M 600MHz processor package to compete head to head with VIA C7 and AMD Geode LX800 series processors.


The Intel® Celeron® M 600MHz processor delivers great value with terrific pricing performance of low price and better performance. The completed FC-BGA package of (ULV) Intel® Celeron® M 600MHz processor with 512KB L2 cache processor package includes 852GM Northbridge and ICH4 Southbridge chipset.


CPU features


The (ULV) Intel® Celeron® M 600 MHz processor supports Intel® Architecture with Dynamic Execution and has on-die 512 KB L2 cache with Advanced Transfer Cache Architecture to improve performance of processor. The CPU core features Micro-op Fusion and Advanced Stack Management architectural innovations, which results in more efficient scheduling, greater performance and lower power usage.


The CPU's 400 MHz processor system bus is capable to transfer data and deliver addresses faster by using Source-Synchronous Transfer (SST) address and data to improve performance.


NEXCOM "C65 series"


C65 is abbreviated from Celeron® M 600MHz 512KB cache. "C65" is added at the end of product models to differentiate the new CPU with 512KB L2 cache from the old CPU with 0 KB L2 cache. The Celeron® 600MHz 512KB cache products are often referred as "C65 series", such as EBC 300-C65, ICES 101-C65, and PEAK 703P-C65. The average lead-times for most of the C65 series products are four weeks from the time of placing orders to delivering orders.

The quick design-in ETX form factor can deliver fast result for customized projects. We can customize the I/O ports as customer request. All works of customizing I/O ports are done on the carried board, no changes of the ETX CPU module is required, which would also shorten the developing time.


The compact ICES 101-C65 follows the ETX standard, so it is compatible with the carried board from other brands. The ICES 101-C65 ETX CPU Module can easily integrated into most of the limited space projects, such as industrial automation, data acquisition and equipments computers.

The 3.5" EBC 300-C65 is designed for low power and space critical device to provides cost effective and high-speed communications channel that is required for advanced embedded applications. The EBC 300-C65 is suitable for factory automation, POS and soft logic control device.


The EBC 573-C65 equipped with versatile I/O ports and display selections, such as LVDS, DVI, and TV-Out; the NICE 3100 series are industrial grade fan-less box computers that utilize EBC 573-C65 boards for embedded applications.

The Fan-less and low power solutions are not only for the embedded world, but as more and more low power applications are required by industrial SBC, they are also an ideal solution for the low power applications environment.


Both full size PEAK 736-C65 and half size PEAK 703P-C65 provide SBC solutions to meet customers' needs of low power applications such as Industrial automation, Equipment control computer, and logistic control console. In addition, the PEAK 703P-C65 half size SBC can also be configured as a stand-alone system without backplane.
