With the EMS-TGL-S85-A1-1R IPC2U GmbH has a fanless, compact embedded PC in its product range, which has a highly up-to-date Intel Core i7-1185G7E CPU from the 11th generation (Tiger Lake). The quad-core processor with a power dissipation (TDP) of only 15W operates at a base clock of 1.80GHz, which ensures economical operation. Under full load, however, the clock can be increased to a maximum of 4.40 GHz, so that peaks can be safely absorbed without impairments during operation. If not that much computing power is required, this computer model is also available with a Core i5 or i3 CPU.
The memory of up to 64GB in two DDR4 SoDIMM sockets is also above-avarage for a computer with such compact dimensions. The various external interfaces include 4x USB3.1, 1x DP++, 1x HDMI 2.0b, 2x COM (RS232/422/485), 2x GbE LAN and 1x 8bit GPIO. Internally, the computer features three M.2 slots in B- (supports SATA3/ PCIe Gen.III x1, USB3.1 and SIM slot), M- (supports PCIe Gen. III x 4 (NVMe SSD)) and E-Key (for Wi-Fi & Bluetooth module (CNVi) ) configuration for connecting expansion modules and mass storage. The computer also supports HW TPM2.0.
The housing with the compact dimensions of only 240mm x 150mm x 48 mm is equipped with eight antenna holes, for 2x Wi-Fi antennas and up to 6x cellular (even 5G is possible) and GPS antennas.
The PC features a 9..32VDC wide range input and the On/Off function can be cable-controlled via a remote switch if required.
The EMS-TGL-S85-A1-1R has a standard operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, but an extended range version is also available on request, which goes down to -40°C.
