iKarPC-W08A – the  Vehicle PC for very different solutions!

IPC2U presents the new Vehicle PC iKarPC-W08A. This Vehicle PC has a well readable and at the same time compact 8“ 800 x 480 WVGA touch screen. The touch screen is a sunlight readable one, that means, that screen content can be easily read also at harsh sunlight (brightness 600nits). Furthermore the touch screen is equipped with automatical Auto Dimming and can adjust its brightness to external light intensity.

The iKarPC-W08A has the low power consuming Intel Z510 1.1GHz processor, which performance would be sufficient for all car convenient applications. Data storage is possible on a 4GB Compact Flash card. Moreover, the PC is equipped with a SSD slot. Thus the iKarPC W08A can ensure high vibration resistance.

The Vehicle PC provides versatile opportunities of wireless communication over WLAN 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth, HSPA/UMTS, GPS and Quad-Band EDGE/GRPS/GSM, which are very important for data exchange with the environment. For communication inside the car there are 1x RS232/422/485, 2x USB, 1x Gbit LAN and 1x DB 9 OBD II. OBD II is a diagnostic system recording and displaying malfunctions inside the vehicle. Some further important feature is wide temperature range from -20°C to +60°C.

The iKar can be flexible mounted, e.g. with special vehicle mounting kit or plastic sucker.

There are two versions of iKAR-W08:
iKAR-W08-Z510-XP-Z510-XPEE1HSD1-R10 and
iKAR-W08-Z510-XP-Z510-XPEE1HSN1-R10.

The difference is that iKAR-W08-Z510-XP-Z510-XPEE1HSD1-R10 is DVB-T capable.
