 | ICOP has released the new product line called Vega86 series, which is based on VIA MARK CoreFusion 533 MHz CPU. ICOP will commence the mass production for Vega86 series, including PC/104, Hal-Size, 3.5”, EBX, etc., in February 2006.
For the Hardware concern, Vega86 series is x86 SoC architecture CPU modules. With VIA Mark CoreFusion processor, which integrates CPU and North bridge into the single package, and the VT82C686B South Bridge, Vega86 is outstanding in power efficient performance for All-in-One solution with Single Voltage +5V. Vega86 is equipped with the advanced BIOS design enable it to be booted within 4.5 sec in an -20°C environment . Furthermore, with Fanless design, Vega86 is adequate for the fields where temperature fluctuations, shock, vibration are present.
As to the software concern, Vega86 is particularly suitable for the application of Windows XP Embedded. To shorten the development time and risk, ICOP has built the high compatible Windows XP Embedded evaluation image with 256MB flash for clients to use. Recognizing the booming demand for Linux Embedded OS, ICOP unremittingly updates the drivers for the latest kernel.
To provide clients with multiple chooses for different needs, ICOP will have mass production of Vega86 PC/104 module, Vega86-6270, in February 2006; Vega86 Half-size module, Vega86-6242, in February 2006; Vega86 3.5” module, Vega86-6247, in March 2006; Vega86 EBX module, Vega-6240, in April 2006.
It happens that VIA Eden and C3 CPUs are going to be phased out in the near future, so it is to believe that with the introduction of Vega86 series, the impact on those who are using VIA Eden and C3 CPUs will be reduced. |
