IPC2U presents a PDS-700, a programmable device server family also known as "Serial-to-Ethernet gateway", is designed for linking RS-232/422/485 devices to Ethernet network. Thanks to the user-friendly VxComm Driver/Utility, users can virtually turn the built-in COM ports of PDS-700 into standard COM ports of PC in simple steps! By virtues of protocol independence, small-core OS and high flexibility, PDS-700 meets the demand of every network-enabled application.
PDS-700 comes with a powerful and reliable Xserver programming structure for you to design your own Ethernet applications within hours. The built-in, high-performance OS, “MiniOS7”, can boot up PDS-700 in just one second and gives you instant responses.
PDS-782(D)-25/D6 equips with 7 RS-232 ports and 1 RS-485 port. With the cable CA-9-2505D, a 1 DB-25 to 6 Male DB-9 converter, shipped in the box, PDS-782(D)-25/D6 features easy wiring than ever! Those serial devices equip with female DB-9 connectors are now able to enjoy the convenience that PDS-782(D)-25/D6 brings to you. Just plug, and all devices are connected.
“ESD Protection” & “Frame Ground”
The PDS series offer TVS diode ESD protection technology, protecting your system from being damaged by the unexpected high voltage.
How does TVS diode work?
Under normal operating conditions, the TVS diode presents high impedance (appears as an open circuit) to the protected component. When the voltage is beyond the limits, the TVS diode avalanches providing a low impedance path for the transient current. As a result, the transient current is diverted away from the protected components and shunted through the TVS diode. The device returns to a high impedance state after the transient threat passes.
